Web Services Response Templates
Web service providers have a problem when dealing with many clients: Web Services Description Language prescribes an interface for data types, messages, and operations that restricts clients to a usage pattern that is inefficient. However, the Web Service Response Templates allows clients to program toward abstract data and service models, rather than directly to WSDL-specified interfaces, giving clients control of the data structures returned from a Web service.
